OSU Buckeye Bullet 2 getting ready for Speedweek 2008
The BB2 team is getting ready to set another world record at the Bonneville Slat Flats.
The Saminco M1-500 AC Traction Inverter is the traction/propulsion controller for the hydrogen fueled world land speed record Buckeye Bullet 2 (This same inverter also powered the BB1 to the electric record).
Initial system testing has reached a peak of 800HP from the fuel cell stack for the Saminco Traction Inverter to deliver to the AC Induction motor.

The Buckeye Bullet 2
The BB2 is a streamlined hydrogen fuel cell land speed vehicle designed to break the speed record for electric vehicles at the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah. It is designed and built by Ohio State University students out of the Center for Automotive Research in Columbus, Ohio.
